P2P meets BitTorrent

I see that 'legal' P2P service Red Swoosh is making overtures to BitTorrent users. This got me to wondering how their model might be threatened by RSS based News Aggregators like Shrook and NetNewsWire making the logical connection to aggregating RSS video feeds as a content-on-demand system. High profile competitors to Red Swoosh such as Kontiki must also be looking over their shoulder.

Surprise, Pixar moves to G5s and OSX

Well well well. Who would have thought it? Pixar has stated that they will be moving their production unit to Apple G5s running OSX. The fact that Steve Jobs is CEO of both companies is just a conincidence, right? (Check out the Reality Distortion Field!)? :-) With the new Xserve G5 now out, the Xserve RAID in place and Xgrid software evolving nicely, it was just a matter of time...

RSS, BitTorrent & Tivo

Seems the idea of linking RSS feeds to BitTorrent and on to TiVo like boxes is starting to catch on...

Gary Burd, Steve Gillmor and Scott Raymond are all talking about it.

But Andrew Grumet is actually doing it!
